Girassol (The Sunflower) - Boys Home

We have spent the last two days at the Girassol Boys Home. We are helping rebuild their soccer field and have spent two long hard days working, moving hundreds of wheel barrels full of dirt, running around and playing with the kids and spending time hearing their stories and sharing ours.

It has been a hard few days for us as a team as it is VERY hot here and tempers can flare and it can be hard to continually work under the sun of the equator. Pray for strength for the team and that God would continue to work among us. We are learning so much and God has already began to use our stories to challenge people here.

Interesting Points of the Day
- We moved a 10 foot mound of dirt 100 yards to help clear and prepare the soccer field
- We ate at a Churrasco, a Brazilian Steakhouse, with more than 20 meats, all you can eat...we all rolled home
- We played volleyball with the boys and had some good conversations

Hey guys. sounds like you all are enjoying some good hard labor under the sun. and to think that you had to raise support to work that hard. Just kidding. we are praying for you all. Hope the Lord shows you more of why He took you there in the next several days. We are praying for a great spiritual breakthrough to the next level in each one of you. Paco
