It was an awesome time in Brazil and God moved in us and through us. Sorry I was bad in updating the blog during the last week of our trip. Here is a video of pictures that tells more than words can. We would love to talk to you and tell you more about the trip! Talk to any of us and hear what God did in us and through us!

Garbage Dump, Amazon River and More!
God is moving among us...wow, overload of the senses and spirit as well.
Wow, what a crazy blur the last two days has been. On Friday we spent the day at the garbage dump with "the least of these". These are the kids and people that no one is there for. They live their lives on the dump and pick through garbage for food and items to sell. We were able to speak to a group of 20 women that we invited to our meeting by walking through the dump. Connie shared her testimony and if you haven't heard it, you should ask. In the afternoon we had 75 kids in a 20X10 room and we were able to play games with them and love on them. Words can't describe the sights we saw or the things we did...hopefully some of the pictures do justice.
On Saturday we spent the day in the market and then on a 5 hour Amazon River boat tour. We went into part of the interior and saw the people who live along the river. Kids would kayak next to the boat in hand made rafts and people would throw gifts at them. We then at on an island and swam in the Amazon River...again, words can't express.
Continue to pray. God is moving among us and hearts and lives are being changed.
Here are some pictures for you to see what we've been up to...even these don't do justice, but they are better than my words can express:

Girassol (The Sunflower) - Boys Home
We have spent the last two days at the Girassol Boys Home. We are helping rebuild their soccer field and have spent two long hard days working, moving hundreds of wheel barrels full of dirt, running around and playing with the kids and spending time hearing their stories and sharing ours.
It has been a hard few days for us as a team as it is VERY hot here and tempers can flare and it can be hard to continually work under the sun of the equator. Pray for strength for the team and that God would continue to work among us. We are learning so much and God has already began to use our stories to challenge people here.
Interesting Points of the Day
- We moved a 10 foot mound of dirt 100 yards to help clear and prepare the soccer field
- We ate at a Churrasco, a Brazilian Steakhouse, with more than 20 meats, all you can eat...we all rolled home
- We played volleyball with the boys and had some good conversations

We're Here and Ready to Roll!
After 24 hours of travel (We met at 5 AM Monday Morning at the church and arrived to Belem at 5 AM Tuesday morning) including 4 flights, 7 hours of layovers and some running through airports, we successfully arrived in Belem, Brazil at 5 AM Tuesday morning. We spent an hour waiting in customs, but they eventually let us in...even with 7 suitcases full of donations. We finally got back to the guest house at 7 AM, ate breakfast and then spent the day recovering from the travels. We slept all morning and then had a few hours in the afternoon to cool off in the pool. At 4 PM, we had our first meeting with the director of Pro Vida who told us all about the ministry and explained what ministry with children at risk looks like. In the evening we went into town to see some sights and get some ice cream. All in all it was a day of resting, getting briefed on the work we will be seeing and preparing for our week. It looks like the next 3 days will be spent working outside rebuilding a soccer field for the boys home...hard work, but we're ready to be a blessing to the ministry here.
Interesting Points of the Day:

Interesting Points of the Day:
- Robert wins the belly flop contest with two straight super flops
- Amber tries corn flavored ice cream while the rest of us experiment with fruits
- We manage to forget our brand new Risk game on the plane
